Three Buttons (set of 4)
These studies are small but mighty pieces of my artistic journey.
In 2019 I started exploring ways to combine my love of vintage paper with my desire to create more intentional compositions with acrylic paint and ink. Blue is my favorite color, and appears often in my work; turquoise started showing up in 2019 after the death of my grammy. The number 3 has been my favorite number since I was a child, and I really love the yellow "buttons" on these pieces. I found while making these studies that I really enjoyed composing squares.
"Three Buttons" is a set of four 4x4-inch collages on heavy cotton paper. I used a mix of vintage and contemporary reclaimed paper, ink, pencil, and acrylic paint.
