Abstract Landscapes

These mixed-media, abstract landscapes from 2020-2021 are not part of any one collection, but share in common the use of heavy body acrylic, layers of vintage paper, and marks made with both oil pastel and water-soluble crayon. This work demonstrates an intentional selection of papers for their ability to add meaning to the finished work, and the artist’s desire to stitch together the external environment with the inner landscape of the artist (or subject).
