Migraine Mini: A Little House

My niece named this painting. Being an auntie is one of my most favorite roles; hiding away in my room, in the dark, when I have a migraine is the worst. My nieflings were so excited when I moved back to the farm (having spent most of their lives living so. far. away.). Having Auntie and her doggo around to visit is great fun! They are learning about care and patience with my pain days. I wish there weren't pain days. But disability is a normal part of life, and how we integrate it is how we do family.

This series is as much about the issues of drug prices as it is about my life with migraine disease. My maintenance medication has a sticker price of $1200 per month. Why do they cost so much? I assume they are made of gold… so I crafted these little golden pills. So each of 30 completed works of art costs as much as one day of my migraine meds: $40
